I thought this course was very thorough in the practical aspects of upholstery. Sewing machine operation, cleaning, and adjustments gives me great direction for my personal equipment. Understanding the hardware “feet” “hook” and the timing that enables loop and bottom stitch, according to the overall timing will help me troubleshoot machines lacking in the future. For me the different calculations, prep work, and stitch types have provided a curriculum whereby I can practice. The one thing I will add is the Apprentice Course doesn’t go to in depth of industrial sewing machine brands and applications, which could be advantageous for the development of an apprentice. For instance, I’d like to buy an updated machine with features that could give me an advantage. Where do I begin?
